I realized what my problem was in keeping the strips within tolerance. It was the fact that I purchased 2"X10"X141/2' WRC planks. I first ripped them to 1/4 x 2 and even in setting up long in-feed and out-feed tables it was very hard to keep the board against the fence even with feather boards because of the weight and length. In the future I will use more manageable planks and scarf joint to get my lengths. I realize we don't need the added strength but the fact still remains. There are times when you need to use a rolling bevel and I found it quite easy to get a good fit as well.
