Since most of my paddling will be on inland lakes, I haven't decided if I will put perimeter lines on.
I strongly advise adding perimeter lines - they are a very important safety feature. If you can't grab your boat from the water, you can have a 'major problem' (a.k.a. die) just as easily in a lake as on the ocean.
