LOL, after watching a while back the vid about the guy with the hydrofoil kayak I had the idea of playing with the design for one. Might still do that at some point. The idea was floating foils, much bigger than those on most hydrofoils and obviously not anywhere near as efficient but should allow the boat to rise up on the foils at a much lower speed and not require quite as much of an athlete to keep it up on the foils.

Sorta like an ultra light aircraft compared to a jet fighter, they both fly, just one is much slower and easier to fly.
