curious - what do you make your 'bead' out of?

The bead needs to be small 1/8' high and wide. I started bending strips and slicing little "beads" off but that was too much work.

Now I bend a piece of quarter sawn ash strip 1/8" thick x 1/2" wide, which bends like cooked pasta, using a heat gun.

I glue it to the inside edge of the deck lip, remove excess wood and shape it to the deck lip.
