Seems no one answered your question.

No reason a track saw won't work, if you have access to one. There is no reason you have to have full length strips except for the first pair and they can be scarfed. So the length of the board isn't an issue. I've dealt with a small shop before and had to plan on cutting strips when it was nice outside and do it in the driveway with the table saw since there wasn't room in the shop to both feed the strips and have room for an out feed. The track saw would work fine for that. Having to set it up after each cut can be minimized when you get used to using the saw I suspect.

Sure you can likely set up your table saw to work, but it's likely under powered and that won't help with accuracy, as the blade slows under load it heats up and that'll cause the set up to wander.
