In Response To: Strip: rolling bevel w/cove and bead (Nick Riccardi)
I did just what you described on my second build but I screwed the first strip to the forms then hot glued the second strip with a rolling bevel to the first strip. When the hull was completed, using a rolling bevel on all remaining strips, I removed the screws from the first strip and then used a heat gun to remove it. Then I replaced that first strip with a strip that had a rolling bevel on one side and a cove on the other gluing it in place. I did the deck the same way except I replaced the first strip with a bead strip. That way I had nice undamaged bead and cove joint to help align the two halves. Hope this helps.
