If you're building a Greenland boat traditionally, WRC isn't the ideal, mortises aren't real secure in it, white pine is better. If you though are building it in fuselage construction like a Yost boat, WRC works just fine, I've got one a Tom Yost Sea Ranger that's been around for several years and has held up just fine with all the longitudinals done in WRC. It's pretty light too.
