It's a short term problem John...right now the issue is that I have about 150 8' strips that need to get scarfed (I'm exaggerating but you get the point)...The hot glue tacking method IS fast...so fast in fact that I have no strips ready to go on the boat...so I need to pause and scarf up a batch of full length strips before proceeding...right now I'm in no particular rush, so I'm literally doing like 2 a day...in keeping with the whole zen mantra of the project :)

But I have some free time coming up in the next few weeks so I need to buckle down and make sure all my materials are ready to place for when my time frees up.

Had I had the strips ready to go, I could probably have planed and glued 4 or 5 at a clip.
