Skin-on-Frame: Sea Tour 15R stability

I recently completed a Yost Sea Tour 15R and I'm trying to deal with the much lower stability compared to my Perception Acadia. I managed to stay upright but the first trial was very shaky. I couldn't detect any secondary stability at all. I lowered the seat 1/2-3/4" to slightly below the level of the keel and will try again when the weather warms up again. Will also look for a pool session to see how difficult a wet exit is since the 16" x30" coaming is a bit snug especially compared to the Acadia. I'm 5'11" and 225 lbs and sit a bit tall in the saddle. I'm considering building a sea tour exp 15 thinking it may be better suited to someone my size. My grand kids would enjoy the regular sea tour. Any suggestions welcome!
