No problem at all doing a wet exit with a round cockpit, have done it lots of times. Getting back in the boat in deep water is somewhat a challenge though. Enter and roll is relatively easy, and if it's too hard for that, you can always just plop your butt into the cockpit, leave your legs dangling and paddle to shore, with the round cockpit your butt pretty effectively seals the cockpit from water getting inside.
