It never hurts to wear a respirator, find one that's comfortable and you'll wear it more often. Still, epoxy likes heat, 50 degrees is pretty cold for it. As I get older I get more safety minded, wishing I'd paid more attention when I was younger, now I'm paying for that. Of course when I started doing this stuff, no one paid much attention to safety, used to be very common in big shops to have buckets of acetone to wash your hands and tools in to get polyester resin off, wouldn't even give it a thought to do that now.
