Hello all, thank you in advance for any recommendations.
I am interested in building a strip kayak, and have begun to realize that most of the designs are built for a little different use than I intend. I thought maybe you kind folks could help me out.
I'm 6'3" 200 lbs, size 10 shoe. I want to use the kayak primarily for river "floating" as we call it around here. Which basically means slow rivers, not too many rapids, maybe a small class 1 occasionally. I would also like to be able to fish and carry about 30-40 lbs of camping gear with me when I go. I am looking at the Guillemot L.
I should say that the length of these boats gives me pause as I'm used to the 10-12 foot commercial boats. My main concern is maneuverability around small (15-20 foot wide) rivers and their bends.
Thanks again!
