Problem with the 14 ft Great Auk is the max paddler weight: 200 lbs without cargo. To boost the capacity he'd have to modify the design, Perhaps simple adjustment of the forms (ie add 1/2" between the stations?).

The Solo Microbootlegger would be a really good option for a rec boat as well. That thing has CLASS! Same issue with capacity. Perhaps build the solo as a single?
