so do you bevel each strip ?

Yes, although occasionally on some parts where the panel is almost flat, the amount of bevel is negligible.

There are several ways of getting the bevel right. Which one works best will probably depend on the tool you have available, how good your eyesight is, your skill in judging gaps and angles and a few other things.

The method that works for me is to sit the strip in place on the form and look at the size of the gap visible on a short section. Then I hold the strip in one hand and hold a cheap block plane so that the gap between the edge of the strip and the plane is the same as the gap I saw when the strip was on the form.

I then keep the plane at that angle for that section and plane the edge until the gap just disappears. Then I replace the strip, check that I have that section right and then move along the strip to do the next section.

Other people get similar results using coded pencil marks and jigs to hold the strip.
