Hi all,
I'm thinking of following the suggestion in "The Strip Built Sea Kayak" to build the (originally 17') Great Auk as a 14 footer. According to the book (which doesn't say much about it) you can simply reposition the forms- no need to alter the lofting of any of the offsets.
This appeals to me as I imagine the 14' version being a bit more maneuverable when poking around calm waters with the kids while maintaining the stability of a rec kayak. Generally true?
Anyone have thoughts on doing this?
Thanks,
Patrick
