Hi all,

My second post in five minutes... I have a friend who has offered me her childhood cedar canvas canoe. she thinks its probably 70 years old. The canoe 14' and will fit two adults and a kid, but is also perfect for solo tripping.

She's going up to Canada in a few months to adopt her Aunts strip built, and offered to bring me this one from her parents, because she knows I'll restore it. It has some damage to the gunwales at the bow or stern, and it needs to be completely reskinned. I'm guessing i'll have to remove and replace the outwale anyway to reskin it. It also looks like theres also some damage to the hull at the centerline where it meets the gunwale.

Can anyone recommend good resources in order to research how to work on these things?
