In Response To: Skin-on-Frame: Longitudinal lashing or individual lashing? (John Raley)
I like separate lashings, and also use a big, blunted upholstery needle to help pass a double armspan of sinew around the members to be joined. I'll also duct tape a little flat stick to my pinkie like a splint, so I have something to bear on when taking up slack. The splint is most helpful sewing the skin, as a lashing mostly tightens itself, v-y lashings, h-x lashings etc.
