To elaborate on my story, the DeWalt rep gave me two pads, one velcro and one smooth assuming I would try the peel off back disc on the flat pad. But, the flat pad has no suction holes and I never found one with holes or did I find peel off back disc with holes so I never used it. Maybe in big production shops where you're in a vacuum booth doing the sanding it would be OK but for me, I need the vacuum holes. I could use it outside but I'm not a production builder and the sander sits idle most of it's life other than household stuff. That velcro pad he gave me is still on it and perfect. And its been some 10 years, a few boats and repairs.
