No UV damage, it has been hanging from the ceiling of my shop with a thick protective layer of dust:) Actually, this setting for 2 years is the only difference between this boat and the others that came out fine. Maybe using the wrong hardener is the problem but - still two boats done the same way getting two different results. I have built and sold two previous kayaks using the identical materials and procedures and no problem. Just seems to be this particular boat.

I guess I missed the do-not-use fast hardener as filler statement in the West brochure. I really like the fast hardener because I can keep up with it and it sets up quickly allowing another coat to be applied sooner. It is very nice to go from sealer to final fill coat in one day.

Looks like a discussion with a West tech. rep. is in my future
