I did try upscaling with EasyDraw but it was illegible and have downloaded Gimp and when I figure out the software I'll give that a try.
Here's a tutorial for eliminating jaggies using a freeware program available at paint.net ... looks like a fairly simple process if it works. May be easier than GIMP ... GIMP is powerful but to me it also seems disorganized and a little on the difficult side.
