I need some Micro Bootlegger seat idea's.

I am building my first kayak ever, and I am having a blast doing it, but now I am stumped. I have two questions. I would like to be able to move my seat to the middle when it is just me in the kayak.

Does this make sense to have to move the seat to the middle of the boat when it is just me using the kayak? If so, does anyone have any pictures I could see for some ideas or any thoughts on the topic?

P.S. 50 degrees in Michigan!! but lake Erie is still a giant ice cube. I will be ready for the spring christening.
