I saw these at the Jersey Paddler's Paddlesport show and sale last week. They seem to be a semi stiff plastic material similar to plastic signboard. The material is pre-bent to shapes that remind me of a stitch and glue kayak's panels. I can see an appeal to someone who has no room to store a kayak, or who would like to take a kayak on a plane trip. It's a nice variation on the folding kayak principle. My big question was how they'd perform with any kind of wind. They don't weigh much (26 lbs) and would tend to ride high in the water.
