I was wondering why the 3.7 oz fiberglass was added between the carbon and the peel ply. Some of my guesses would be: For added strength, The ability to see if the epoxy has saturated all the areas because the glass will turn clear. Added abrasion resistance for the carbon. To fill the weave of the carbon faster. Or some other reason I have not come up with. Thanks Tom C
