OK this may be a really silly question but now that I've forked for 9 months on this Kayak I'd appreciate advice on how to launch it (in a lake) without a) scratching the crap out of the hull on rocky bottom, or b) swamping it. When I was fitting the seat and knee braces I did it on the grass and I had to lower myself into it with my legs fairly straight, while supporting my weight on my hands, holding onto the combing lip. If I hand a sandy beach I might be able to do the same maneuver, but my choices are a course, rocky bottom or a floating dock. If the boat were floating up against the side of the dock I might be able to get into it only if a second person were to hold it stable. I had thought about laying a carpet remnant on the rocks at the water's edge. Any other suggestions welcome. Similarly, I'm envisioning difficulty getting out of it. Thanks! Jay
