Reverse the proceedure to exit.

This actually works best/easier when you're standing in about 8" of water, so the kayak is at normal chair seat height and your boat is floating.

Many people put the paddle across the deck behind the cockpit coaming which allows the boat to roll against the paddle unless the deck is perfectly flat.

Placing the paddle across the coaming is best. With the paddle across the coaming the paddle is firmly contacting two points and the opposite end of the fully extended paddle tip is firmly on the lake/ocean bottom.

This makes a solid, three point contact, and you sit on the paddle shaft on the inboard edge of the coaming and it locks the boat and paddle to the lake/ocean bottom and you can actually ride small waves without moving.

So to answer your question, you can use this method to enter/exit your kayak and it never touches the lake/ocean bottom.

Now about those hidden rocks you'll run into while paddling, you'll just have to do as sailor's do.
