Marc,

The boat was nice enough, though it was outfitted to fit it's new owner and he's quite a bit shorter than me so it was a pretty snug fit. We only laminated one frame and since it was a class didn't want to experiment on the strength, so the frame ended up about 1 1/4" wide by about 3/4" high, was made of spruce so didn't weigh much, plenty of strength.
