It does seem a little odd that it is tacky... Generally found it'll dry to the touch in 24-48 hours, but humidity will make a huge difference and generally, about 5-7 days before fully dry. I've had it before where a coat will have dried in my basement for a week and the first time it comes out into sunlight I'll get the "fresh" varnish smell again, leading me to believe it hasn't fully cured. Overall, I've been very happy with UV protection, durability, hardness, and finish with that varnish.
