Thanks everyone for such detailed and hard earned solutions!

I was using MAS for epoxy.

I did what Rob said and used alcohol and steel wool. 2-1/2 bottles of alcohol, 2 bags of steel wool (0000), and 2 rolls of shop towels.

I then washed with soap and water then rinsed with clean water.

I am going to use captain's Z spar.
