Looks like I buggered a couple of holes in more ways than one. I was looking to see if anyone had a creative solution rather then re-drill and redo.
It would have been helpful if I had stretched the U tube span a bit to begin with. I'm not sure how I could have avoided having varnish penetrate the glass other than more epoxy and more care.
My worst problem is that I really want a hatch less boat and had planned to use float bags. I don't plan anything more than day cruising in this craft so it seemed like a good idea. It will be hard or impossible to access the maroske(s) from the inside. Live and learn.
