I don't know if you have a Macbeaths near by but they seem to always have a good selection of Peruvian Walnut. It comes at a price of about 2 times black walnut around here but it is dark. I have always managed to find dark black walnut I just keep my eyes open for it and buy it when i see it if I need it at the time or not.
