Marc I should have mentioned the avocet is the last bird, the floating nests are mostly Western Grebe and one Clark's Grebe. Interesting comment on Texas, this group of grebes moved to the lake I photographed them on in the mid 80's when the great salt lake was flooding destroying their nesting area and they have returned ever since. No gators around here I paddled around alligators in Florida and felt pretty comfortable but I wouldn't want to run into a croc. I get artsy often but seldom post it, it doesn't appeal to a broad audience but I have to say the reflections on the water are a big part of the experience for me. Good luck with the flooding, wish we had some of that water around here.
