I was literally just finishing up the hatch latches as my last step before getting the boat in the water. The temporary stand, two saw horses and Thule saddles, was fine until I nudged the kayak forward and it fell about 3 inches onto a sharp corner. I didn't think anything about it until I raised it on my hoist and saw about a 1/4 " dent at the keel. I can see that the fiberglass disrupted a bit. I realize that when I put the boat in the water, I'll have a host of scratches. Should I worry about this and sand off the varnish and apply some epoxy? I did an expedition layup so I'm not concerned at all about a leak. I just don't want water to start propogating and create a bigger issue.
