Here is a Chris Chappell video on vimeo of the scene at Halibut Point State Park of this years Blackburn Challenge. Take a look at the guy at 26:10 to 26:22 as he almost disappears a couple of times in the troughs. I am in the frame at 26:30 to 26:38. That's the way it was, a minute or so of 2 - 3 foot waves and then 4 or 5 monsters that might break on you. The race committee also said that times were much slower than last year.
