Having built the RBA 12 years ago and a Yukon two years ago and since we have the same body sizes...
On my RBA I raised the foredeck at cockpit about 1-1/2". It was one of the most comfortable, stable and fast boats I have owned. Plenty of volume except at the bow. I like a fuller bow but in the Chesapeake that may not matter. I found it surfed and handled very well. No rudder, just a skeg that I would deploy a little while paddling.
The stock Yukon is tighter but not too bad. Has rudder and it likes it. More of a challenge in rough water (3-4 chop) but if you keep paddling you will be fine. Smaller and lighter but I could do a couple nights camping in the summer with it.
Yukon was harder build due to the cut away deck and sheer lines...but will allow a great stroke.
hope this helps. Get near NH you can demo the Yukon.
