I know this should go in the trips forum, but this place was wonderful. A rather small gorge located less than 2:30 north of Quebec City. The width averages about 150 meters wide. The cliffs and mountains on either side rise 600 meters above the reservoir surface. it is a popular place, that rents kayaks and excursions in powered tour boats and ten person canoes. Cars are only allowed as far as the dam, where you must unload boats, and then park about 2 Kilometers away and take a shuttle bus back to the launch. This makes for a rather quiet paddle on the reservoir. The water became too much for my kayak about 5.5 miles up the gorge. I could have gone further, if I had a rudder. The Parc rangers speak English, but the bus drivers did not.
