I am confused as to why shoe size has any bearing on a kayak's design or end use. Do you guys paddle with your feet straight up 90* to the hull or something? Is there a reason why that is the only position your feet would be in? There are very few, if any, whitewater kayaks where that would be the foot position, even among bigger creek boats. Obviously, not in Greenland kayaks either. But, people paddle these boats with no discomfort regularly. I'm one of them, I have to say, so this foot position confuses me. I don't understand why you wouldn't just change your foot position to fit the kayak rather than thinking that foot position should be a determining factor in which kayak you can paddle. Can you explain this to me? Am I misunderstanding something?

I paddle a couple of boats (Mariner Elan, BT Frej) where I'm comfortable in neoprene booties (creek shoes) but wearing my 'walk-around on rocks' sneaker my feet are completely jammed in place and numb within minutes.
