I think it's a nice find for the money and could be a fun project - its all about attitude. Don't forget you can do a repair job, use it, fair it out during the winter and a finish paint next spring. You don't have to do it all at once. If I found that deal where I live, I'd grab it in a second.

But, I enjoy repair work... ;-)

For me, a Greenlander would be a boat for day paddling in moderate conditions and rolling practice fun - not a play boat, rock-gardening boat, or surfing boat. That repaired boat would also not be something I'd take on a trip.

BTW, if you do decide to saw up the boat, please reduce it to neat 1-foot long sections so that you can easily take lines from it!
