To be brutal about it, you still have a long way to go. Hull sanding, glassing inside and out, bulkheads, strip the deck, more sanding and glassing inside and out, joining the two halves, cockpit coaming, hatches, feathering joints and more sanding, varnish prep sanding, varnishing, and all the little extra jobs that go along with all of the above.

To my mind you have some distance to go before you reach the half way point.

On the upside... If you can get the gull glassed inside and out before you move you can at least dispense with the strong back. Use a couple of saw horse cradles to hold the hull while you do the deck.

My feeling on this kind of dilemma... You need to know in yourself how much you are getting out of the project...

Was it keeping you sane during your family upheaval, or was it a chore in the background vying for attention?

Ask yourself... "If I walked away from this project will I feel a huge surge of relief having released a burden, or will I feel regret."

The creative process can be very healing, but it can also be stressful. It all depend on ones priorities at the time.

There is an investment of time and money here, but sometimes the time and place is just not right.
