Here's one I drew up which is a basic copy of one used by Impex kayaks.
2 things: If you lower the skeg down with some slack in the cable, you can push up and back and drop the skeg out of the box with no axle removal. And in researching it, you will get less skeg drag or speed loss the longer the skeg is since you can use it down a very tiny bit to give you correction. Anyhow, here it is for your amusement. I have it in one boat but never shot pics of instillation.
