You could change the curve in the rocker adding more flare to create secondary stability but the high center of gravity would still mean they would slide of the seat unless you made a bucket seat or had some foam that allowed them to keep their but in place. I did see one where the rockers sat in cradles which created secondary stability when the edge of the rocker hit the upward sloping edge of the cradle. You can make those things as aggressive or as stable as you want. The flat nose comes from sitting too far aft and having the front end slap you in the face as the rocker becomes a fulcrum, for a general use stool I would place the seat 4-5 inches in front of the aft rocker.
