I am in a warm climate and using Tightbond II.

Try standard Titebond (not II or III) it tacks up quicker. Use II or III if you need more working time due to the climate.

The time before you remove any clamping mechanism depends on: the glue, the weather, how tight your joints are, and how much stress is on the joint. The only way to say how long it takes is to try removing your clamp and see if bad things happen.
