I'm a big guy and I scaled up all dimensions of an Outer Island about 4.5% ... and also raised the fore deck a tad for foot clearance. There were no problems what so ever ... the boat paddles just fine and free board is right where it should be for a guy my size. At 3% I don't think you'll have any problems.
