I've built 3 of the 15 EXPs. Also a 13 and the 19 double.
The 15 is good on stability, paddles well.
The cockpit still needs the raised #3 frame for me to be more comfortable getting in, due to my stiffness and weight.
I expect the 15 is very much the same boat to build as yours, from a construction method standpoint.
Again I build mine very different from the Yost methods.

I had a friend one day trading off between the 13 I built for his son, and a 15 I still have. He reported very little difference, although at the time he was acting as an instructor for a Boy Scout Canoe class. So he was dashing back and forth between 8 canoes instead of trying to make distance quickly.

Here are two 15's wiith different features (but both with "standard" cockpits).
