Review: Bending Branches Navigator Paddle

OK in full disclosure I really like Bending Branches paddles. I find the navigator paddle to be reasonably light, ideal stiffness for me, the shaft feels better in my hands than any shaft I have used, and my original paddle has the standard 3 hole selection ferrule. The blade is much smaller than my carbon big spoons paddle, slightly larger than my AT carbon paddle , and smaller than my carbon Werner Camano and it is pretty easy on my body when I paddle. The navigator paddle is heavier than my Camano but not by a lot and in the weight range of the other paddles at 28 oz . My Camano has a newer ferrule that is pretty cool and can be set and a lot of different angles. My AT has the glorified hose clamp ferrule which is very functional and has a sort of Volvo look to it. My problem is on of my daughters really likes the bending branches paddle and often borrows it when she is in town and forgets to return it pretty much forever until I take it back. It is by far the favorite paddle of the entire family. So for Christmas my daughter is getting her own Navigator paddle so I can get mine back. I splurged and got the new ferrule that can lock in at any degree of feather and can extend up to 15 cm. The really cool thing is how it does it. It has an offset plug in the end of one shaft with a clip that is about 1 inch wide that clips around the plug. The clip is slit so it can be compressed and it is fatter on one side to correspond with the offset plug. So the clip can be rotated on the plug to be a consistent size with the mating shaft and when it is twisted it cams and locks the shafts together. The clip has a slight cut out around 50% of the edge that hits s stop on the plug at the fully lined up position. You slide the other shaft over the plug and clip when it is at this position and then line up marks on both shafts for the feather you want and twist it a portion of a turn and it locks into place. There may be other paddles like this on the market but I have never used one. I don't know if any of you have used one of these or looked at them but I really like it. It is an enjoyable paddle to use and it looks great with a strip kayak and it doesn't drool like my Greenland paddle.
