I just did the epoxy/glass on my Spring Run hull. It went well except that the fiberglass pulled away from the external stems during curing. Now there is some air under the cloth on the stem. What should I do?

I am thinking I cut away all the epoxied cloth that isn't attached to the hull and sand smooth.
My next step is the fill coat of epoxy.
