Won't let me edit my previous post, darn.

The challenge of using the steel tractor seat is finding a way to clamp the strips to the seat. If a fiberglass mold were made of the seat you could cut it into something like 3" wide sections still retaining the profile of the seat and you can much more easily clamp the strips to those narrow sections.

Sorry, fighting a bad head cold and am on meds, not thinking real quickly right now.
