Interesting thoughts, it sounds like the internet is helping this small group of people build more boats. I have to agree with John when he says a lot of people do not want to take on such a big project. Building a boat is a lot of work but the results are stunning.

I have a long insulted shed I build in and it works well but it takes up a lot of room. ET said his biggest problem is storing kayaks. I see this being a problem for me too. I am already thinking of my next build and I am not even finish with this build.

Getting on the water is a great way to spend the day,plastic or wood. But you'll never see me in a plastic kayak.
