Hi All,

i have not been around the forum for a while. but am starting a new project - a strip built petrel. i call it a rescue project becuase i found it as a pile of wood in somebody's garage (who wanted it cleaned out). as of now, i have the strong-back and forms together....so i am sorting out how i want to strip it and am interested in some very thin feature lines. what i wanted to ask is if folks had experience using veneers like:

as a 'simpler' way to execute these lines.

my last build, a modified night heron high deck, i stained and did a single feature line which was a contrasting strip (picture below paddling this christmas in DC). it was a lot of work to get and keep clean...and am wondering if there is a faster way.

anyway, thoughts appreciated. in the meantime will be doing some snow shoveling. thanks H
