So I made it through a lengthy surgery today and the outcome is very good so far. I essentially had an infection from the top of my teeth up into my forehead on the right side of my head. It has deminerlized and essentially eliminated all of the bone that supports my eye causing my right eye issue. It was much worse than they expected and now I am getting more support that this could explain my left eye issue possibly also, meaning I may not be dealing with a neurological disease. I will need to go back in for some plastic surgery to reconstruct some structure before I get my vision fixed but I see this all as positive. This brings me up to the issue of exposure to wood dust and epoxy vapors. I am afraid this will be a sensitive area for some time. I do use a good respirator with appropriate filters, I am going to start doing most of my saw work outside (vacuum attached respirator on) as suggested and my sanding with (vacuum attached respirator on) and also outside. I already do that on nice days and enjoy being out to be honest. I have castors on the long shop table I attach my strong back on so it is not hard to wheel it out on the driveway. I am really debating between a cyclone vacuum verses a plumbed outside dust collection system for dust removal. I am also thinking about the box fan and filters, something I have never done. I really do a reasonable job protecting myself while cutting or sanding with a vacuum with the respirator but I think I get a lot of exposure from residual dust Any suggestions/experiences would be appreciated. My winter build will probably become a late spring build this year, or may be put off a year.
