No dust collection system will filter all the dust, true. The ideal is to have the filter bags outside so this doesn't matter. Unless you have a really large shop you will need to provide a source of fresh air or you'll draw a vacuum in the room and the dust collector will stop working. Keeps most of the noise outside too. I used to have a small unheated room on my big shop that had the dust collection system in it and was well vented. Mostly kept the system secure and dry.

If you see a commercial wood working shop, the dust collection system usually is very easy to see, it's large and outside.
